The role is based in our Mokena, IL office.


What is the role?

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Management System, e.g. Procedures, Work Instructions, Test Instructions, Receiving Inspection, Supplier Quality, Non-Conformance Reporting NCR - in preparation for future ISO 9001 Certification, ISO 14001 Certification.
  • Lead the company's involvement in Corporate ESG initiatives.
  • Work with Production Manager and Ovivo Safety Officer to assess and implement safety plans and training.
  • Proactively identify and address potential quality issues and implement actions to prevent defects, work with Production and Engineering Managers to continuously improve manufacturing processes, product quality and satisfy customer requirements.
  • Actively interact with Production to ensure in-process quality requirements are met.
  • Review customer complaints and initiate effective root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and satisfy the customer.
  • Develop and conduct quality-related trainings for Production team and indirect/overhead team members.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Quality, or other appropriate discipline.
  • Experience managing, working and creating ISO9001 and ISO14001 programs. Must include development of procedure and work practices.
  • Knowledge of the water treatment or low volume production industry preferred
  • Work closely with Compliance Manager and existing ISO9001 and ISO14001 managers within Ovivo to develop documentation and processes needed for upcoming certification.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments to develop ISO framework and familiarization trainings.
  • Work closely with production and all other functional areas to address the day-to-day problems and opportunities for improving product and process quality through corrective and preventive actions.
  • Together with the Production Manager, be first point of contact in case of customer quality complaints and assure timely and proper responses.
  • Serve as a driver and coordinator for continuous improvement under consideration of Ovivo Quality Documentation, by application of internal quality system audits and corresponding corrective action and improvement activities.
  • Drive and support relevant plant activities toward achieving customer satisfaction, industry standards and quality certifications, e.g. ISO 9001, ESG Activities.
