What is the Opportunity?

FilterBoxx is looking for a Shop Assistant with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, apply existing skills, learn new skills, and be part of a long-standing team with strong values and room for advancement.

FilterBoxx provides installation and servicing of rental equipment including power generation and wastewater treatment systems on oilfield and industrial worksites. This role will support field operations in receiving equipment as it comes back from the field, conducting inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring readiness for the next deployment, as well as general facility upkeep, maintenance, and organization.

This role is located in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada and will require some minor travel/field work to various sites.


What is the role?

  • Washing equipment that comes back from the field, inspecting for damages, complete incoming & outgoing equipment checklists.
  • General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Loading and unloading trucks picking up or delivering supplies in town & elsewhere
  • Notifying Supervisor of any equipment defects promptly
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the yard and shop
  • Supporting field operations staff as needed
  • Actively participating in the company safety program and routinely complete all required safety paperwork
  • Actively displaying company values
  • Shop/yard mainly will be required to load-unload, pick-up & delver equipment and supplies as needed

Does this sound like you?

  • High School Diploma
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and provide an acceptable driver's abstract
  • Experience in operating a skid steer considered an asset
  • Mechanical & pluming knowledge considered an asset
  • Team Player with strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to follow direction from management and supervisors
  • Good attitude, prompt, and fit for duty
  • Ability to climb on or around equipment, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 lbs) at times
