What is the opportunity?
As Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and advice. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, Ovivo USA, the role supports business groups in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Oregon, New York, and Arizona. As the HR Business Partner for the Electronics Division in the USA be the focal point for all employees and managers within your business groups. The position is located in Plano, Texas and is 100% work from office and will require around 15% travel.
We are looking for a skilled individual that is excited to be a part of changing how the world views our most critical resource - Water.
Here's what you will do:
- Assist in the development and implementation of people initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of a Career Path Matrix (CPM) for employees and managers.
- Handle employee relations issues and overall employee experience.
- Assist with benefits administration to include new employee enrollment, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Partner with Ovivo USA Recruiting team or outside agencies for exempt and non-exempt roles, interns and temporary employees.
- Responsible for onboarding of employees including pre-employment screenings, offers etc.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Support and coordinate employee engagement programs (i.e. employee recognition programs).
- Support HR related internal communications.
- Maintain Human Resource Information System.
- Coordinates organizational training and development initiatives. Develop training as needed.
- Participate in completing visa paperwork where applicable
- Work closely with the General Manager to support business needs.
- Other tasks assigned by Human Resources Director.
Your qualifications will include:
- You are a team player who engages with your co-workers, peers, executive management and employees at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong ability to handle difficult situations and work with management to find the best solution(s).
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws; this will include state laws for California, Texas, Oregon, New York, Arizona, and other states we conduct business in.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite with the ability to create detailed presentations, power points and Excel spreadsheets to track, analyze and record data.
- Ability to think outside of the box in an effort to handle challenges, opportunities and issues that may arise.
Education, training and experience you'll possess:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or business management; 5 years directly related HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PHR certification is preferred, but not required.
