SUMMARY

This important position is responsible for design and production of equipment in accordance with Ovivo standards.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Review applicable job data, including project plans, specifications and sales proposals. Provide comments when applicable.
  • Custom design complicated equipment for fabrication and assembly. 80 percent of your time will be CAD design work.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to meet scheduled task deadlines and maintain schedule for purchasing, fabrication and shipment. Prioritizing workload to meet goals.
  • Communicate promptly with Project Manager on project schedule and any issues.
  • Participate in project handover meeting, focusing on equipment design issues, scope of supply, cost, construction, and project scheduling.
  • Responsible for equipment cost by providing efficient designs.
  • Enter long lead buyout items into Syteline ERP system.
  • Provide the marketing group with information as required for future projects and bids.
  • Assist in preparation of equipment submittal packages to include drawings and buyout equipment data sheets.
  • Assist in preparation of O&M manuals specific to projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five to ten years work experience as a CAD designer.
  • Strong background designing heavy mechanical equipment, steel fabrication and piping.
  • Familiar in application of pumps, blowers and other mechanical components typically integrated into Ovivo equipment packages.
  • Basic understanding of electrical controls and instrumentation.
  • Experience with water/wastewater equipment, and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Mechanical and structural design experience.
  • Familiarity with water and sewage treatment processes.
  • High competency in use of Autodesk products, AutoCad and Inventor
  • Competent in use of Syteline ERP system for setup and release of materials for production.



EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; Associate degree in engineering or design/drafting; technical certification in design/drafting; or equivalent combination of education and experience



WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL: Travel will be domestic and will be less than 2% of work time.
