The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn Basel Area, Switzerland, with good public transport connection Tram 10 and free car parking.

What is the role?

• Independent Structural Engineer in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
• Preparation of static calculations for skids, pipe racks and structures in accordance with European and American standards.
• Selection and design of anchors with the Hilti PROFIS system.
• Welding capacity verification and design according to norms.
• Structural design with Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Collaboration with international teams, as well as with suppliers and customers in all project phases from planning to assembly.
• Communication and coordination with the external structural engineers professional engineers for the review and approval of the structural documentation.
• Pipe stress calculation is an advantage.
• Further activities to be defined upon the evolution of Ovivo's business.

Does this sound like you?

• Technical education in the field of civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of experience as a Structural Engineer in the industrial sector Oil&Gas, Power, Water treatment
• Very good knowledge of Robot Structural Analysis Professional & Hilti PROFIS.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Advance Steel and Rohr2 is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IBC 2018, ASCE 7-16, EC 1993, EC 1998, EC 1991.
• Expertise in calculating and designing pipe racks, skids, primary and secondary structures.
• Excellent English language skills written and spoken, German is an advantage.
• Independent, responsible, and structured way of working.
• Willingness to travel internationally, if necessary, driving license
