What is the Opportunity?

As an Application Engineer with the E2METRIX PFAS Solutions team, you will be assisting with the process design, sales support, estimating, and onsite piloting of PFAS water treatment equipment.

The role is based in our Salt Lake City office, and you will enjoy our hybrid working model. Expected domestic travel is 10-30%. You must hold a valid driver's license and passport.

What is the role?

• Support the ongoing upkeep and use of appropriate design methods, sizing, and costing programs (OPEX and CAPEX). Focus will initially be for ion exchange and granular activated carbon systems and then expanding to the full E2METRIX PFAS solution offering including electro-oxidation for PFAS destruction and ozone foam fractionation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to improve products and support sales. This includes assisting product managers in marketing business opportunities with key clients and developing responses to RFPs and RFQs.
• Read and comprehend fabrication, erection, PFDs, P&ID's, and standard engineering drawings and verify their accuracy. Review calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications, and instructions created by drafters/designers and other engineers for accuracy and consistency
• Assist in conducting laboratory and field studies for the research and development of new products or on-site demonstrations. This includes traveling to various sites, supporting operational activities, performing sampling, interpreting detailed operational data, writing reports, and providing guidance and direction to others, including clients, in the operation and troubleshooting of PFAS treatment systems as required.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor's or Master's M.S. degree preferred degree in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2-5+ years of process engineering-related experience in water/wastewater/waste/landfill leachate industry in North America.
• Experience with PFAS, waste industry, drinking water, wastewater, or leachate is preferred.
• Strong communicator who thrives in a small group setting and can convey ideas clearly and confidently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Specific experience troubleshooting and/or operating pilot equipment systems.
• Professional Engineering Registration preferred CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent.
