As Compliance Manager ISO-ESG, you are responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to ISO standards and leading our ESG environmental, social, and governance initiatives.
The role is based Austin, TX where we enjoy a hybrid work model.
Expected travel is 25-30%, the role will involve working closely with other locations throughout the US and Canada.
What is the role?
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards relevant to the organization e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Coordinate internal and external ISO audits, manage corrective and preventive actions, and maintain ISO certification.
- Monitor changes in ISO standards and update internal processes as needed.
- Assist local compliance officers at our manufacturing facilities to develop and implement relevant ISO plans, audits and procedures.
- Execute ESG strategies aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements, generally focused around reducing the GHG footprint associated with the manufacture, transport, and use of our technically engineered products and systems.
- Monitor and report on ESG performance metrics, including environmental impacts, social responsibility, and governance practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ESG policies, including local, national, and international standards.
- Prepare and present reports on ISO and ESG performance to senior management and other stakeholders at the local and the divisional level.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels regarding ISO and ESG matters across the organization.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and external auditors regarding ISO and ESG compliance.
Does this sound like you?
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certification in ISO standards e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor and/or ESG-related certifications e.g., GRI, SASB is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in ISO management and implementation, with a strong understanding of ISO standards and audit processes.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ISO management and ESG compliance, preferably in a similar industry.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ISO management software or tools.
