We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Lead Account Manager to join our Aftermarket Sales Team, working alongside the Aftermarket Manager at OVIVO-ALAR. This key role is responsible for managing the Account Managers, overseeing and growing relationships with our existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and driving sales of aftermarket products and services. The Lead Account Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and maximize revenue in the aftermarket sales segment.

This role is onsite, and is based in our office in Mokena, IL.

What is the role?

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, serving as the primary point of contact for all aftermarket concerns, and service-related issues in conjunction with the Account Managers.
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to ensure satisfaction and retention, while identifying opportunities to expand sales.
  • Assist in providing customers with quotes and purchase order processing.

Sales Strategy Development

  • Execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets for aftermarket products and services.
  • Oversee sales forecasts, and strategies to maximize revenue growth, penetration, and customer loyalty in the aftermarket segment.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, to improve upon customer relations and expand aftermarket sales.
  • Lead efforts to upsell and cross-sell products and services that align with customer needs, adding value to client relationships.

Team Leadership

  • Manage junior account managers, providing support, coaching, and training to ensure the team's success in achieving sales goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to create and implement customer engagement campaigns.

Aftermarket Sales Support

  • Work closely with the service, technical support, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery, installation, and post-sales support.
  • Address customer inquiries, issues, and feedback related to aftermarket parts, services, and products, ensuring prompt resolutions.
  • Point person for warehouse and damage issues.
  • Collaboration with Aftermarket Manager on special projects.
  • Track critical metrics for sales performance and customer satisfaction, and present reporting to the Aftermarket Manager

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Provide insights into product development needs based on customer feedback and market demands.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track sales performance, customer metrics, and account health.
  • Prepare and present reports on revenue growth, profit margins, and customer satisfaction to the Aftermarket Manager.

Does this sound like you?

Education

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business, or a related field. Verifiable experience in position in lieu of degree.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, inside sales, or business development, ideally in an aftermarket inside sales environment or relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, managing large accounts, and developing business strategies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team or managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with logistics is a big plus.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), MS Office Suite, and sales tools.
  • Familiarity with concept of aftermarket product offerings and inventory management.
