Position Overview

After a successful product launch, which included winning several large drinking water projects, the SiC Team is looking to rapidly grow and expand its presence in the Municipal Drinking Water Market. The Technical Sales Manager will be a key driving force behind the growth of silicon carbide (SiC) ultrafiltration technology in the Municipal Drinking Water Market. In this role, you will develop and own the sales strategy in your territory, focusing on growing relationships with key clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science and engineering, with experience in water treatment technologies. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to have a significant impact in solving today's most pressing water issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Sales Development: Develop and execute specific sales strategies aligned with team and company goals. Prepare/manage preliminary and final bid proposals for UF/MF water and wastewater projects. Work with the process engineering team to deliver winning system designs. Identify key projects and collaborate with Sales Reps to drive growth by developing successful technical/engineering solutions. Establish and nurture relationships with utilities, plant operators, and design engineers throughout the project life cycle. Support the Project Execution Team through bid handoff, process support, and customer relations.
  • Application Engineering: Estimate and value engineer budgetary and final system design and costs for municipal bids. Develop and optimize UF/MF treatment processes to meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Pilot Testing: Oversee pilot studies to ensure customer expectations are met, putting the team in a position to win municipal capital equipment projects. Provide process support to pilots and travel to site for pilot troubleshooting may be required at times
  • Customer Development: Travel within the assigned territory with our independent manufacturer's representatives to establish and develop relationships with utilities, plant operators, and design engineers.
  • Deliver Winning Solutions: Work with the process engineering team to winning solutions & system designs that exceed our customer's expectations. See projects through from initial inquiry to final bid, handing the project off to our Project Execution Team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in applications engineering or technical sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required).
  • Overall experience in the water/wastewater industry; Experience with UF/MF membranes is a plus but not required
  • Strong problem-solving or innovative mindset and ability to work independently
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with clients, local sales reps and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel in order to meet individual and team goals.
