We have an exciting position to fill at our location in Witterswil and are looking for a


Head of Innovation Water Laboratory 100% m/f/d


Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of the R&D water laboratory technicians, interns, engineers
  • Support international Water business and Innovation group related to purification
  • Take an active role in the analysis of a wide range of water samples ultrapure water, city water, wastewater and water treatment related samples
  • Analytical methods used in our facilities include e.g.: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC, IC, UV-VIS Spectrometry, Tensiometry, electrochemical measurements, TOC measurements, particle counting, TOC speciation by LC-OCD, microscopy as well as usual colorimetric and titrimetric water analysis procedures
  • Manage Quality LIMS system for the overview of calibration and maintenance of all instruments including Process Analysers in use
  • Review SOPs and analytical reports
  • Manage acquisitions and maintenance of analytical instruments
  • Take an active role in the maintenance and validation of our instrument fleet in collaboration with our analytical personnel
  • Responsible for chemical safety and Laboratory Quality management ISO 9001

Your Skills and Assets

  • Academica degree in chemistry BSc., MSc., PhD or equivalent
  • A professional experience min. 5-8 years in a similar position, preferably in water chemistry
  • Extensive experience in water analysis and operation of analytical instruments, ideally in GMP environment
  • You like to deal with technical innovations
  • You have strong social competency and first leadership skills
  • You are self-initiative, creative as well as flexible and able to work under pressure
  • You have a good team oriented working capability with excellent communication skills
  • You speak and write fluent English - German and/or French languages are an added value
