What is the Opportunity?

In this role, you will lead efforts to design cutting-edge equipment that effectively removes harmful PFAS compounds from water systems. The Engineering Manager for the PFAS Solutions team is responsible for supervising, guiding, and mentoring a team of Engineers, ensuring adherence to standards and practices established by you and the team. The Engineering Manager will collaborate with the Operations Manager and Product Group Manager to plan and prioritize work for the team. Establishing practices, procedures, and reviewing work are essential roles of this position.

The role is based in our Salt Lake City Office and will enjoy our hybrid working model.

Expected domestic travel is 10-30%.

What is the role?

• Manage the mechanical technical aspects within a multi-disciplinary team for the development and commercialization of effective and safe products for the treatment of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
• Establish appropriate design methods, sizing, and costing programs in coordination with other engineer disciplines.
• Develop and check calculations, models, layouts, detailed fabrication drawings, specifications, and instructions prepared by drafters/designers and other engineers in addition to providing coaching and mentoring for continuous improvements.
• Communicate directly with the customer together with the project manager to resolve technical issues.
• Direct the execution of design project and provide technical support to shop and field start-up services.
• Document and update design procedures on a regular basis.
• Advise project engineers, project managers and/ or other managers on project status.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance tests and ensure designs are compliant with the clients' technical requirements and budget(s).
• Assist in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of engineering-related experience in water/wastewater industry.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings.
• Professional Engineering Registration preferred (CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, structural and architectural discipline along with working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to complex situations.
