As an IT Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of end-user systems and IT infrastructure.

You will support employees across the organization by troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system performance, and contributing to IT projects that drive business productivity and continuous improvement. The role is based in our Salt Lake City, UT office, and will enjoy our Hybrid working environment. This role reports to the Service Desk Manager.

What is the role?

  • Install, Configure, and Upgrade: Deploy, configure, and upgrade software and hardware, ensuring compatibility and security across the organization's technology environment.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with devices, operating systems, and core applications through multiple support channels, including ticketing system, phone, email, and in-person contact.
  • Device Repair & Data Management: Repair or replace faulty hardware, facilitate secure data transfers, and manage user data migrations with a focus on security and minimal disruption.
  • User Support & Training: Provide first-line technical support to users, deliver training on systems and security best practices, and promote digital literacy across the organization.
  • Network & Infrastructure Support: Diagnose and resolve network and infrastructure issues; escalate complex problems appropriately to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Asset Management: Maintain precise asset records, assist with IT audits, and support procurement processes for hardware and software.
  • IT Projects & Rollouts: Contribute actively to technology rollouts, assist in the implementation of new systems, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation, ensure compliance with IT policies, and uphold high standards of service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Does this sound like you?

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification preferred

Technical skills: 

  • Hands-on experience with computer systems, hardware troubleshooting, and software support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting

We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong performance through timely resolution of incidents to minimize user downtime and maintain productivity. Ensures accurate asset tracking, adheres to IT policies and security standards, actively contributes to IT projects and technology rollouts, and consistently delivers high-quality support reflected in positive end-user feedback.
