As the Product Group Manager for Inlet Works, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for one of Ovivo's core technology lines that protects downstream treatment processes through advanced screening and ancillary solutions.
This is a high-visibility leadership role with full P&L responsibility for the Inlet product line, driving growth, innovation, and profitability in the municipal water and wastewater market. You will play a key role in shaping the future of water treatment while building and inspiring a high-performing team.
The role is based in our Salt Lake City office with a hybrid working model. Expected domestic travel is 20-40%.
What is the Role? You will provide strategic leadership, direction, and support to the Inlet Works team, which includes Product Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other operations staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Drive commercial strategy, product roadmap, standardization, and new product development initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, develop, and work alongside a cross-functional team of sales, product management, and technical professionals.
- Own the full P&L for the Inlet product group, including budgeting, bookings, profitability, forecasting, and margin improvement.
- Champion product competitiveness through continuous improvement, technical innovation, and market feedback.
- Support major customer engagements, specification reviews, estimates, quotes, proposals, negotiations, and strategic bids.
- Ensure seamless project execution and knowledge transfer between sales, engineering, and operations.
- Represent the Inlet product group at industry events and internal leadership meetings.
Does this sound like you?
- 10+ years of overall progressive experience in the water/wastewater industry, with strong exposure to municipal markets.
- 4+ years of proven leadership experience managing teams of Sales, Product, and Project professionals.
- Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, budgeting, financial reporting, and growing a product line or business unit. Deep understanding of the role of sales representatives in the municipal water/wastewater market and the ability to build and maintain key relationships.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand screening, inlet works, or heavy mechanical equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or a related field).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret plans, specifications, and requests for proposals for complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Passion for sustainable water solutions and inspirational leadership style.
